As the saying goes" there is always two people in every picture the subject and the photographer" or every artist puts little of themselves in each picture they make but this is probably taking it a bit too far.

the wedding of Anne Marie and Adam

Juanita and I had a great time at Adam and Anne Marie’s wedding yesterday even though it was rainy and very windy. It is times like these when the weather is not so great that having an experienced professional photographer at your wedding is essential. Without trying to blow my own trumpet too much I think we made some fantastic pictures despite the down pour. Anne Marie and Adam’s ceremony was held at St Patrick’s in Rockdale and they had a cocktail party at the NSW golf club. They started the reception with the bridal waltz, which is a great idea and then danced for most of the night to the dulcet tones of the Blue train band; David and the band really know how to start a party.

Michelle and Myles got married

Yesterday the whole Taylor-made Photography team photographed Myles and Michelle’s wedding which took place at the lovely Vaucluse tea rooms. We so enjoyed shoot their wedding it was a really fantastic day. Michelle is very organized and the day ran so smoothly, just like clockwork. She is a great photographer as well and it is cool to be asked to shoot a fellow photographers wedding but I think she could easily branch out into event management. Myles directs short films and commercials and I am looking forward to seeing the doco of their wedding. It was also great to see friends again that we hadn’t seen for a while and congratulations to Jaime and Tracey whose wedding we shot last year on the birth of their very cute baby daughter.
The reception was held at Pruniers restaurant and the food there is delightful. Both Myles and Michelle have very loving families and the speeches were some of the funniest and emotional I have seen in long time.

Julia and Anthony's pre wedding shoot

The second of my shoots today was with Julia and Anthony, I will be shooting their wedding in April this year and they are having their ceremony in Balmain and then to the city for the location shoot because they like modern and historical buildings. Their reception will be held at the Conca Doro where my friend Lenny will be looking after things for them. We met Julia and Anthony at Amy and Stuart's wedding last year and Stuart has been given the job of MC and I love his humour so it will be a fun night. Julia and Anthony are a pretty handsome couple and they agreed to do some pictures in the water, I wanted to get something a bit sexy and things were going well until a fish bit Anthony on the foot. He jumped up, so it must have been painful and ofcourse the mood was lost then but that's ok because we have some cool shots.

Jamie and Johnny's Pre wedding shoot

I had two pre wedding shoots on this morning and the first was with Jamie and Johnny. They are a fun couple who's wedding I will be shooting in June this year at the Gunners Barracks. We did the shoot in an old warehouse in North Strathfield and then Johnny and Jamie shouted breakfast at one of the cafes. These guys are great to photograph they just smile and have fun all the time. It was a fantastic start to great day.
Thanks again for brekky!!

Bra Boys premier

Trudi shot "stills" for the Bra Boys documentry and so we were invited to the premier last night. It was a great night and this doco is very entertaining and a real insight in the surf culture of Maroubra. If you get a chance to catch it you won't be dissapointed. It is funny ,sad, provocative and emotional but the best thing is that it is a really well told story. Our good friend Micheal and his wife Dianne who are one of the producers of the film have put their heart and soul in to this adventure and it was lovely to see them enjoying the fruits of their success. It was also great catching up with our friends Izzy and Nick, it was Nick's birthday last night as well, so all the best mate. Nick is also credited with creating the tag line for the movie; "Blood is thicker than water" and I think that is pure genious after seeing the flick.
Trudi had a fun night as well being photographed with all the celebrities she knows like Ian Thorpe, Peter Morrissey, Joel Eggerton and Sonny Abberton. Also there were Jamie Durie,Sonny Bill Williams and plenty of footballers from Souths and the Bulldogs plus of course Russell Crowe.

Farris and Helana's Wedding day.

I am bit late posting this week because I am still recovering from Farris and Helena’s marathon 17 hour wedding. What a day! Farris and Helena are so much in love and it was a pleasure to photograph their special day and I can’t believe they are going to do it all over again in Indonesia this Saturday. Juanita is putting together a slideshow of images to show at their second wedding so we are going to hold off posting a slideshow till next week. We started the day at Farris’s home for the traditional dressing of the groom by his parents then to Helena’s place for their first meeting. The bride and groom meet for the first time at the brides home and meet by walking towards each other but backwards and when their backs touch they turn and see each other for the first time on their wedding day. It is kind of cool. The Wedding ceremony was held at the lovely Kin Koppel church that over looks the Harbour and the reception was held at Torwood lounge in Rockdale. We photographed at the light house in Watson Bay and in coffee shops in Double Bay and finished the night with Harbour shots about 1am, these guys even if I say so myself have a mountain of great shots to choose from and their album will be amazing.
