Jodie and Kevin

Jodie was my daughter Dillon’s 6th class teacher at MLC School last year and it was a real pleasure to photograph her and Kevin’s wedding today.
Jodie looked amazing and the afternoon started off with some relaxed pictures at her Mums home and then off to the very popular St Peters Channel Church in Hunters hill. With a late ceremony time and no day light savings we were always going to be pressed for good light for the portrait shoot but we managed to get a few great images using our old trusty video light which makes shooting during winter months so much easier. Their reception was held at Dedes Restaurant at the Sydney Rowing club where it was lovely to see Patrick again and to be served such a fabulous meal. Jodie and Kevin’s Mc started the evening off in great fashion with a lucky door prize, he asked every one to look under their seat for an envelope and four people won such prizes as a dance with the Bride, smoking cigars with the groom and the major prize dinner at their home when they got back from their Honeymoon. It really set the evening on the positive course and Juanita remarked that she had never heard such entertaining speeches as theirs. During dinner as a special gift for the Bride and Groom we presented a photo slide show of some of the images of the day set to music. It was received very well and at the end as the Taylor-made Logo appeared there was a lot of clapping and cheering which must have meant that every one loved the pictures, which is always a relief and the funny part was that we had to show Jodie a second time because she wasn’t wearing her glasses and could not see from the main table.

Tina and Dean's Wedding

Tina and Dean who are a really kind, giving and a fun loving couple with great friends and loving families celebrated their wedding yesterday and it was a pleasure to be involved with documenting their day.
The venue for their union was the famous "Our lady of Victories" church in Horsley Park and the celebration continued at the always enjoyable Le Montage Bayside function centre in Leichhardt. Most of the guest danced through the night to such classics as the Macarena, Nutbush and a whole bevy of Eighties and Nineties hits with all the action suitably recorded by Paul from Vandervideo.
After the reception we met up near the Park Hyatt Hotel for a “Night shots” session where we were able to create some timeless images with the lights of Sydney Harbour.

Danny and Marisa

No one celebrates a wedding quite like the Italians! Trudi and Juanita photographed Marisa and Danny's wedding on Saturday and from the moment we arrived at our first location at Danny's home til we said our goodbyes at the reception, we felt like one of the family. With friends and family travelling from all over the globe to celebrate with Marisa and Danny it certainly was a day to remember. Sydney turned on a beautiful sunny day after a week filled with rain, and Marisa and Danny were having so much fun with their bridal party in the stretch Hummer that they were willing to climb into all sorts of precarious spots for us to capture some really interesting and unique images in one of Sydney's oldest locations.

Two weeks ago we were featured in an article in the Sun Herald about Trash the Dress photo shoots. The article certainly caused a bit of a stir with lots of positive and negative comments about Trashing your Wedding Dress. Of cource it is all about creation more than destruction with the idea to create unique and different images that you would not normally be able to do on the Wedding day.
What we are also seeing is that it is becoming very popular for Brides and Grooms to celebrate their first anniversary with a shoot like this.
Imagine being able to get back in your dress a year later and celebrating with a unique photo shoot.

Lena, Paul and baby Jacob

We photographed Lena and Paul's wedding in 2000 and recently they had their first child Jacob and I was very pleased to photograph their first family portrait together. Since their wedding they have moved to Dubai to further Paul's career and even being based so far away they have always wanted me to photograph their family portrait. They are here on a whirl wind holiday to see their parents and we had a great time photographing them in the studio. Jacob was fantastic and so cute, I think he was making Juanita a bit cluckky!!
Thanks guys t was a fun afternoon and dont forget I am always available to shoot family portraits in Dubai.

Lauren and James's Wedding

While Trudi and Juanita talked all day to prospective Brides at the Darling Harbour Bridal Expo on Saturday I had a fun and action packed day photographing Lauren and James’s wedding. It was a glorious day, the sun was shinning and you could not have wished for a better day for a wedding, Lauren looked amazing, very radiant and always smiling and James was very dapper in his tails he even had a top hat for the entrance at the reception which was very cool.
Like Tanya and Jono from a few weeks ago these guys also got married at St Marks at Darling Point but their reception was held at the always high class Heritage room in the Westin Hotel. The whole bridal party loved the camera and it was easy to work with such confident and fun loving people. In fact I had so much fun I took over 1500 pictures and even got my own photo taken with Lauren’s mum.
Lauren is a dance teacher and so their first dance or Bridal waltz was always going to be something special and I must say the two of them rocked the house down with a medley of dance moves including the robot dance that brought their guests to their feet cheering and clapping, it was very special. James was a bit nervous before hand but he was so good I think he is going to audition for next years so you think you can dance!!
