Published Again!!

We were stoked to find out last week that a picture from the wedding of Dora and Andrew was published in the Sunday telegraph. These guys had a great wedding with lots of fun and happiness which I think really shows in the picture that was chosen. A special thank you to the guys at personalized weddings who sent the picture to the paper. You can't beat free advertising and it is so cool to get our name and images to a wider audience.

Images published in [Capture] magazine

This week I was thrilled to see my pictures published in Australia’s leading photography magazine [Capture].
They had called me recently for my opinions on the wedding photography industry and wanted a selection of images. A few years ago Trudi managed to get the cover image for a similar article so now we are kind of even.
To be mentioned in the same circle as some of Australia’s leading wedding photographers was very cool.

Adam and Barbara's Pre Wedding Shoot

The countdown to Barbara and Adam's Wedding is now on and to celebrate I photographed their pre wedding portrait earlier this week. Adam and Barbara are such a fun-loving and happy couple, they wanted a portrait to reflect this side of themselves and so they chose to be photographed in a park. We had a great time and if the pre wedding shoot was anything to go by, their wedding day will be full of fun and laughs.

Petross and Max's Wedding day

With guests coming from around the world to celebrate the wedding of Max and Petross, this event was always going to be a party, and a party is exactly what Trudi and Juanita found as soon as they arrived! Surrounded by their friends and family, Max and Petross exchanged vows in the St Mary’s Catholic Church North Sydney and moved on to Millers Point House in the historic Rocks area to dance the night away. Trudi mentioned that it was wonderful to catch up with past clients Sarah and James, who were never too far from the action.
Petross looked amazing, her smile is so infectious and Max he scrubbed up pretty good too. They had their photos taken around Lavender Bay and then to Observatory Hill for the last bit of sweet light.

Jessica and Nick's Wedding Day

Jessica and Nick had a great wedding on Saturday and it was a privilege to be documenting their celebration. We had photographed Jessica’s older brother Sam’s wedding with Mary 13 years ago and I was really quite proud to see their wedding photos hanging appreciably in the family home after so many years. Of course Mary and Sam haven’t changed a bit and now have three beautiful kids.
It was a long day, over 14 hours with the ceremony held at the famous Our Lady of Victories church in Horsley Park and then the reception at the equally as impressive Doltone House in Sylvania.
We shared documenting the day with our good friend George from Euro video and it was great to catch up with him. The reception was a typical Italian celebration with lots of delicious food, I think about six courses. Their was a roving accordion player and a fabulous band called the Robertson brothers who wowed the guests all night and to top it of a fantastic floor show of tap and modern dancing which featured Hilton from so you think you can dance. The cake was a masterpiece of white chocolate made by our Concord neighbors Luigi and Sonia from Dolce Da Luigi. I didn’t get to taste it but if it tasted as good as it looked then everyone would be looking for seconds.

Gold Award

This week the 2007 Canon awards book which showcases exceptional Australian photography was delivered and i was stoked to find that my Gold award winning image had a page to its own. The image taken of the band at a Sean and Miseon's wedding in the Westin Hotel last October. What I really like about this image is that there are no photo shop enhancements made and in this day of overly photo shoped photography to win a gold award from an image straight out of camera i think is very cool.
