Master Photographer

I received some great news in the post today. I have been recognised by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography as Master Photographer. It is a great honour and something I will treasure for the rest of my life.
Basically this honour is bestowed on photographers by the industry association who have shown a consistent high quality of imagery and business ethics over a number of years.

Bryony and Paul are so much in love and it was awesome to capture their special day together. With close friends and family traveling from all over the world to be there for them it was always going to be a special time, Bryony’s sister Tamara flew all the way from the UK.
They were married at the very lovely St Johns Chapel which is part of the grounds of Sydney University and the reception was held at the equally beautiful Tea Rooms of the Queen Victoria building. The food and service here is always fantastic and it certainly lives up to its reputation as being one of the leading reception venues. After the ceremony we shot all round the Rocks area and I think the Boys and Girls of the bridal party who were fantastic all day enjoyed finishing off at the Palisades Hotel for a few cold ones.
We were referred to Bryony and Paul by Katie and Kent who we photographed a few years ago, it was fun to catch up with them too and congratulations for the impending birth of your first child. I also met up with Allan Benson at the wedding, a guy I played football with over 20 years ago. He still looks fit as a fiddle but wow where does the time go!

Alice and Jon

Trudi and I last Saturday afternoon had a great time shooting the pre wedding portraits of Alice and Jon. It is funny what a difference a week makes, we were scheduled to shoot their portraits on the previous Saturday but because of the torrential rain we had to abort but this week the sun was shining and I think it even reached 30 degrees. Alice and Jon could not have picked a more lovely location for such a fine day. Balmoral beach is a favorite for our North of the Harbour clients and I can see why.
Alice and Jon started out a little nervously but I soon had the relaxed and frolicking on the beach where we were able to get some great shots. Their wedding is next January at Curzon Hall and that should be a fine and exciting day.

Fantastic wedding in Italy

We received confirmation this Saturday that Trudi and I have been given the great privilege to photograph Jo and Evan's wedding in Florence Italy next May. Trudi and I as expected are very excited and are so looking forward to creating some great images for this lovely couple. The setting for the wedding is a fourteenth century castle in the Tuscan Hills just 25 minutes from Florence called Castetello Dibibbione

The location is amazing and from their web site we can see so many beautiful and creative photo opportunities to go wild with.
Jo and Evan are planning a memorable event and will have about Eighty to hundred friends and family to help them celebrate their union.
There is even talk of Vespa scooters!!!

As Trudi and I love all things Italian we are truly blessed to be given this opportunity.

We are now looking for other couples in the northern hemisphere who would also like to have their wedding captured the
Taylor-Made way between the 24th of May till around the end of June.
If you know of any one please send them our web site link Taylor-Made Photography.

Rock Eisteddfod

Last night my daughter Dillon and some of her school friends performed at the Entertainment centre for the Sydney grand final of the Rock challenge Eisteddfod and they WON!!!!!

Their performance was brilliant and brought Eisteddfod productions to a whole new level. Based on the Beaumont children's kidnappings of the 60's the performance was the perfect mix of sounds, lighting, dance and above all emotion.

Congratulations again girls you all did your school proud.

Modern Wedding Magazine

We were fortunate enough to have a range of our trash the dress images published in the special 10th anniversary issue of Modern wedding Magazine.

"TRASH THE DRESS WE DARE YOU"

I love free publicty and over the last month we have received our fair share.

The images look amazing in the magazine and I thought it was quite amusing where the article quotes me, "WE don't really trash the dress" he assures us, it just gets a bit wet" and on the oposite page our bride Lauren is basically submerged in the water.

Congratulations!!! goes to our super fish Bride and Groom Lauren and Justin, we just heard the news they are expecting their first child next March and by the way did you see Lauren on TodayTonight on Wednesday evening, I heard that was a great success too.
