Sarah and Clive's wedding Day

Saturday’s wedding with Clive and Sarah was filled with joy, fun and emotion. There were some tears but they were all tears of happiness. Sarah looked divine and Clive very handsome. They celebrated their wedding firstly at St Bede’s church in Prymont with a simple and elegant ceremony and then the reception for a three course meal at the very lovely Sebel Pier One in the Rocks.
After the ceremony we photographed Clive and Sarah around the streets of Prymont with its industrial and urban feel. I think it is great to photograph with the elements at hand, I think the images become more individual and personal for the couple rather than going of to a location that has been photographed many times before. Sarah and Clive are both very photogenic and they seemed to know intuitively how to fall into very natural and elegant poses.

Recent Testimonial

I just wanted to share this lovely testimonial I received from Evan and Jo, regulars to this blog would know Jo and Evan celebrated their wedding in Tuscany earlier this year and they chose me to cover their week long nuptial event in Italy.

We were thrilled when Darren said that he would be able to come to Europe to photograph our destination wedding with family and friends. We had our civil ceremony in Sydney before hand and it was great having the same photographer for both events, but also having someone we knew and had confidence in whilst we were overseas. One of the most important things for us was to find a photographer who could make people laugh and be at ease. Darren is a natural at that - he clearly loves his work and has a lot of fun at the same time ( which is infectious). He is a great photographer and captured some fantastic memories for us.

Thank you so much!
Jo and Evan Moore

It was really nice to hear from them and of course it is lovely to feel appreiciated for my efforts.

Nicole and Andrew"s wedding

Yesterday Julian and I had a great day photographing Andrew and Nicole's wedding, the wedding started early at Andrew's home and then went right next door to where Nicole was getting ready in fact from the bedroom where we where shooting Nicole's portraits we could see the groomsmen having their breakfast with a few beers. Nicole and Andrew are a very lovely couple who have been seeing each other for over 5 years. Their reception was at the the popular Conca'dora reception lounge in Riverwood.

Tara the work experience kid

Tara who is very interested in photography came to us for work experience from the MLC school in Burwood. She is in the same grade as my daughter Taylor and it was great to have some who I already knew.
Tara is a a very keen student and willing worker who works well unsupervised and is certainly a credit to her school and her parent. Always smiling no job was too much trouble for her. Yesterday we shot Steve and Katie's Pre Wedding shoot and I made her shoot of a few frames of the couple and she did really well. The last pic is one of the good ones she took.

Steve and Katie's Pre wedding shoot

I met Steve and Katie in the Rocks yesterday for their pre wedding shoot, it was fun to catch up after after not seeing them for a long few months.
Tara who is on work experience from MLC school did a great job carrying the bags.
Katie and Steve were bit shy in front of the camera which is understandable but after a few short minutes and few jokes they were right in to it.
Their wedding is coming up next month and they will be celebrating their wedding at Oatlands house in Dundas

Pre Wedding shoot with Rebecca and Dennis

It was a pleasure for me to meet up again and touch base with Rebecca and Dennis on their pre wedding shoot. It was a fine Saturday morning down on Long Nose Point at Balmain where the shoot took place. These guys are so natural and happy in front of the camera and we had a lot fun during the session. Rebecca and Dennis are getting married next month at the Automobile club on Macquarie Street and later having a reception at the popular Doltone House in Prymont. Many of their family and friends are flying in from the UK and they are all looking forward to not only the wedding but some fabulous Sydney spring weather as well.
