Making the cut

Not sure if this image is going to make the cut! but strangely i like how random it is.

fashion.art.style

In this image of Simone; the three elements of fashion, art and style come together I believe beautifully. The style and fashion comes from her head piece and veil which has a 50's fashion feel to it. In fact Simone's dad mentioned how much she reminded him of Audrey Hepburn. The art is in her expression and the fact that we only see half her face. The B&W presentation I have used just finishes of the image so wonderfully.

Mother/ Daughter moments

One of the main things i look for as a wedding photographer are the moments that can tell a couples wedding story. This photo of Simone and her Mum is a great example, not only is it a great spontaneous capture of two people Eskimo kissing but also a tender moment which shows the joy and excitement of the wedding day and also the very real and loving relationship that a mother and daughter share.

Simone and liam's wedding

Simone and Liam had a gorgeous wedding today filled with laughter joy and fun. Simone looked amazing and she is so fantastic in front of the camera. Liam also looked very much the dashing groom. The ceremony was held at St Brendan's church in Annandale and the gala reception took place at the always friendly and professional Waterside reception centre in Bicentennial park.

Oliver, Lee and Tom Family Portrait shoot

Lee and Tom were married a few years ago and it was my pleasure to photograph their new son Oliver today. He is such a character and full of beans. The shoot was a lot of fun and I think we managed to get some fantastic pictures and expressions.

New Display images in the studio.

Recently we redecorated the studio and these are two of the latest wedding images to grace our walls. The yellow one on the right is a favorite because you would never know i shot it on the medium strip between two busy high ways. Just shows you if you look for the light everything else can fall in to place.

More Romance

I love the Romance of this Image as well from Denis and Mary's wedding. All the elements came together wonderfully, the reflection on the water, the blue light to the sky, the bride and grooms pose, the video light which adds that warm light and even the car adds to the romance of the shot.

Romance

Some of the most romantic images that can be found at a wedding are often of the Bride arriving to the church in the hire car. The Brides emotions are heightened with anticipation as she is about to see the man of her dreams. There is the excitement of knowing he and all the guests will see her for the first time in her amazing wedding dress. These can be some fabulous moments that i look to capture.

Ray and Rowena's pre wedding shoot

Ray and Rowena are getting married later in the year and on Saturday we enjoyed a fun morning shooting their pre wedding shoot. It only seems like yesterday that Rowena was baby sitting my kids when I was out on week ends shooting weddings and now in a few short months it will be her wedding. They are a great couple and we had a lot of fun during the shoot, they are so cute.

Denis and Mary's wedding

Mary and Denis celebrated their wedding at Glass in the Sydney Hilton yesterday and I would have to say that they served the best reception meals I have ever had, everything was 5 star as you would expect from the Hilton and thank you Denis and Mary for providing entree, mains and desert, truly a fabulous banquet.
Mary was elegant and beautiful and Denis very handsome, their wedding was a privilege and a joy to photograph. What I really love about Greek weddings is the confetti, rice and almonds the guests throw at the Bride and Groom when they leave the church, they make for such great photos. We were very lucky to miss the rain when photographing on location around the streets of Prymont and I think we were able to capture some great images.
