Fashion Shoot for 20/20 magazine.
Trudi just arrived back from the central coast where she shot on location for 20/20 magazine. The brief was to shoot a range sunglasses distributed by the Sunshades group with a glam 50s surf culture theme. Trudi had such a great time, our friend Isabella the worlds best make up person was also on the shoot working her magic and ofcourse Trudi's images are fantastic. The Sunshades crew are so cool to work with Reina and Petra the creatives kept the ship in the right direction and Thanks to our great friend Micheal who keeps hiring us for these awesome gigs. The models have a tough job trying to make Winter feel like Summer and Stephanie, Keita, Nick and Matt who has just finished his first major feature in LA did a great job and looked terrific. A special thanks to Rebecca the stylist and her assistant Angela for helping to make the shoot look funky. Here is a sneek peek of some of Trudi's favourites and the crew photo!!!!

Who would have thought that a year can go by so quickly. Congratulations goes to our friends Sally and Bruno who today celebrate their anniversary. They had such a wonderful day last year and a very stylish wedding, Trudi photographed them around the city and they were lucky enough to shoot around the Hilton Hotel and the marble bar.

The Wedding of Mona and Andrew.
Just yesterday Juanita and I had the privelidge to photograph Mona and Andrew's wedding. They are such a lovely couple and so much in Love, they just can't keep their hands of each other. They are going to Europe for their honeymoon tomorrow and wanted to see their pictures before they left so Juanita edited the images during the reception and the lab we use Campsi Digital Prolab was able to print our proofs this morning and we were able to design their album for our meeting today at 1pm. Now even if I do say so myself that is pretty good actually that is fantastic customer service, wedding on Sunday, proofs on Monday, album designed by Monday afternoon. Their wedding was held at the church in the market place in Bondi Junction, we went to McKell park in Darling Point for the location shoot and the reception was held at the lovely Star Room in Darling Harbour. I have to say that Sally there looked after myself and Juanita so well and the steak I had for main course was awesome. the best I have had for a long time. Mona and Andrew's wedding was such a pleasure to photograph, we had so much fun, the couple were so much in love, every one at the wedding was friendly and enthusiastic and the way the sun came out at just the right time it seemed there may have been divine intervention. Thanks again for choosing Taylor Made Photography to record your special day.

Mix 106FM Expo winners. part two
Here is how Kelly and Alex won the wedding competition;
Hi Darren,
Well basically we had just been engaged a few weeks and a mate forwards me this link to the Mix 106.5 web site for the Bridal Expo competition. There were 3 questions and I liked the look of them. Or more that I already knew what my answers would be straight away and wanted to fill them in because I like to tell other people about Kelly and myself. The trouble was getting it down to 25 words or less for each, but in the end it only took about 10 minutes. This is what I ended up with (paraphrasing because I lost the actual answers when I submitted them…)
1. How did you meet and how did you know they were the one?
At a friend's punk rock fancy dress party. I had blue hair and she was the only one not dressed punk. How antiestablishment is that.
2. What's the most romantic thing they've ever done for you?
Drove to the mountain's to get my favorite childhood cake from the only baker in the state that knew how to make it.
3. What's your idea of the perfect day together?
Walking hand in hand through the streets of
Then another couple of weeks went by and it was the very day before I was due to go in to hospital for surgery when I get a call at work in the morning from Bogart Torelli. I wasn’t sure who that was since I don’t often listen to the radio but I understood when she asked if they could call back at around 10am so they could chat to me on air. Anyway, sweating bullets for a couple of hours and then they called. I can’t remember what I said exactly. I was sure I sounded like a goober but Kelly was listening at her work and said I didn’t babble on too bad.
They told us that we were one of 27 finalists and that they would announce the winner at the Bridal Expo in a couple of weeks. I was determined to make it out of hospital in time but, because of a couple of complications, didn’t get there and so Kel had to go up on stage alone. I was listening in on the mobile as you can see in the picture I’ve attached of Kelly accepting the prize from Dave Wright. It was the most surreal thing being in this quiet hospital room alone after Kel hung up the phone.
Anyway, it’s been an awesome ride and we’ve had over a year’s worth of prizes to keep us smiling. Not the least of which was the album from you guys.
Not bad for 10 minutes answering questions that I would have answered for fun anyway J
Regards
Alex Engelhardt
Mix 106FM Expo winners.
We received another lovely Thank you note this week.
How are you doing? Firstly, thank you again for the amazing photography on Kelly and my wedding day way back in April. We sincerely hope that Darren passed on how absolutely rapt we were with the result and found it really hard to stop adding in sides to the album J

Photo Awards
A few months ago i entered the Australian institute of professional photography awards and won some awards with a few of my prints. We had just got them back from the framers so Juanita thought it would be a good idea to get some pics of me with the awards that i won with. I have been entering these awards since I started taking pictures professionally and have now amased a fair few. Some have been for portraits but most have been for weddings. I must say that I am very proud each time I win and what makes it a specially pleasing for me is that each image that I have won with has not been overly manipulated in photo shop.

Sydney Belle wedding cars
I wanted to post this image from Renate and Micheals wedding.Their album is in production currently and is looking fantastic. Every one likes reflection shots there seems to be a bit of mystic with them and this one is great because it shows the lovely couple, the surroundings of the church, the cars and Danny one of the owners of Sydney Belle wedding cars. Its kind of like a promo shot. Danny and his family are fantastic people, down to earth, friendly and family oriented. We have photographed the weddings of his sister Melissa and brother Terry and also the family portraits of his other brother Darren.( he is so lucky because he has four boys and a lovely wife Nicky).Their cars are 1940s Buicks really comfortable to ride in, have air conditioning and I love photographing them because of the lovely lines, the elegant windows, you can do so much with them and the brides dress is a good contrast with the black of the cars. I will post more car shots later in the week.

Dinner with Friends
Tonight we had dinner with our good friends Isabella and Nick. Trudi photographed their wedding in 1992 and we a have been good friends ever since. Isabella is one of Australia's leading makeup artists and we refer clients to her when ever we can. Just a few weeks ago they were both working on an assignment for Blinde Sunglasses at Avoca beach. They had a lot of together, she makes the girls look awesome and so makes us look good too. Nick is marketing manager for Napolean cosemetics and always has good ideas about branding and creating interest in our business. Isabella is starting up a makeup school for busy female executives to teach themselves how to apply the right make so they can look their best. We wish her all the best for the future enterprise.

New studio
Our new studio in Concord is starting to take shape now. I needed to get some measurements for the work stations so I thought I would post some pics as well. There is still a lot to do before we move in but we are hoping to be working from this new space before the end of September.
Trudi has the challenge of designing the interior as we are going for a real urban warehouse feel. It will have exposed concrete ceilings and polished concrete floors. I wont give away to much at this time but keep coming back to our blogg for more updates and photos as we progress.
