Tina and Dean's Pre Wedding shoot

Tina and Dean are just a great couple and we just get along like a house on fire. I can’t wait for their wedding it should be a hoot. They just see the fun in everything and their wedding could be a laugh a minute. They feel and look so comfortable in front of the camera. They are also having their celebration start at our lady of Victories in Horsley Park and then on to the popular La Montage in Leichhardt.

Lauren and James Pre wedding

Lauren and James are one of the most adventurous couples that I have photographed for a long while and when I said “what about some shots in the water” they were only too happy to oblige and the results are very stylish and daring. Of course the obligatory big wave came and completely soaked every one. I think it was a passing ferry as normally there are no waves along the Parramatta River. I did have the presence of mind to keep the camera above the wave and so everything was ok, even though I had to drive home wet to get changed for my portraits later on in the afternoon.
Lauren and James’s wedding is only around the corner in April and they will be celebrating their marriage at St Marks in Darling Point, the same church as they filmed the movie Muriel’s Wedding with Toni Collette and then to the lovely Heritage room of the Westin Hotel.

Jessica and Nick Pre wedding Shoot

My first pre wedding portrait on Saturday was with Jessica and Nick and it was a lot of fun photographing them around the Rocks area. Jessica and Nick’s wedding is on the 5th of July and her brother Sam’s anniversary who we photographed in 1996 is on the 6th of July and her other brother Ralph’s is on the 7th of July so next July there are going to plenty of festivities in their family.
Jessica and Nick are great to be with and their wedding will be so enjoyable, it starts at Our Lady of Victories church and then to the lavish reception at the ever popular Doltone House.

Caught in action

Recently at Helen and Herman's pre wedding shoot Herman's mum grabed a few pics of Juanita and I in action. I was getting inspired with a few low angle action shots and this style of shooting is great as you lose the distraction of the back ground but you can also get dirty clothes but that is ok as as we get the shot.

McManus Portrait

Mr. and Mrs. McManus celebrated 50 years of wedded bliss together last Saturday with a lovely party with friends and family. As a special gift to them from their siblings I photographed their portrait and the portraits of their kids and their families.
It was a fun afternoon and lucky that we shot after the party as every one was so relaxed.
The McManus’s hadn’t updated their family portrait since the last shoot when all the kids were still in high school and now all their kids have kids of their own. I estimated that it was at least 25 years and so I feel quite privileged to be chosen to document such a unique event.

Taylor Made wedding client Michelle wins Tropest

Our friend Michelle whose wedding to Myles we photographed last March was the very deserved winner of the Tropfest short movie competition last night. The movie called Marry Me was very funny and superbly filmed and edited. I want them to do our next pro mo dvd. Congratulations!!!

MICHELLE LEHMAN was the most breathless winner in Tropfest history in the Domain late last night.

Not only was the Leichhardt filmmaker delighted that at the world's biggest short film festival she was presented with the main prize by Geoffrey Rush, she is also eight months pregnant.

"My adrenalin is going mental," she said.

Lehman's film, Marry Me, is a comedy about a small girl who tries to impress a boy who is more interested in his BMX bike. The film's star, Jahla Bryant, 10, was named best actress at the festival

20 year Anniversary

1988 Bob Hawke was Prime Minister, interest rates were heading towards 17%, Australia was celebrating the Bi Centenary and today on Valentines day 20 years ago Trudi and I celebrated our wedding.
The weather was eerily very similar 20 years ago, a little bit breezy, a bit colder and with the hint of rain. Trudi looked wonderful and we had a fantastic time celebrating with friends and family. You can tell by my white jacket that it was very much an Eighties wedding, but I am cool with that because the Eighties was just so much fun.
Today Trudi and I are having lunch together very romantically and tomorrow we have 30 of our close friends for Dinner.
The 20 years has certainly flown by very quickly in that time Trudi and I have been fortunate enough to build a loving home, we have been blessed with two fantastic kids and have the company of lots of great friends. I am looking forward to next 20 being just as exciting.

Bridal Fair

Well it was certainly a busy weekend for the Taylor-made crew at this years first Bridal show at the Sydney Entertainment centre.
We spoke to many hundreds of couples that are in the processes of planning their weddings and it was fun to see all their excitement, some were looking at dates in 2010 and others still had not found a photographer for next month.
I think we are going to be so busy over the next few years because everyone seemed to like our images the most and our display of little photos received so many positive comments.
The hi- lite for me was getting the chance to speak with some our couples that have already booked their photography with Taylor-made. We have the best clients on the planet and it was cool to hang out with them. There was Jessica on the Saturday who unfortunately we did not get a picture with plus on Sunday with Adam and Fiona with their bridesmaids in tow, Tina and Dean whose wedding is coming up in April and Jason and Carla with their families as well as our good friend Sandra.
It was a lot of fun to see everyone again and it certainly made our day a lot easier to get through.
The show was great chance for us to catch up with many of the other wedding vendors that we work with over the years and it was awesome to see Alanna and James from Moi Moi fine Jewellery, the ever gorgeous Virginia from the invitation studio and Anthony from four leaf films.
