Mina and Roya's Portrait
I was extremely happy to be available to shoot the portrait of two great sisters, Mina and Roya here in Amsterdam. It came about through coincedence as Mina was only in Amsterdam for a few hours after flying in from LA on route to Iran. They do not often get the opportunity to see each other because they live so far apart and so they were really excited that I could photograph them. Little Zeba wanted to be part of the action too and almost stole the show. It was a fantastic photo session in the made up photo studio and I was very pleased with the results.

Megan and Andrew in London
It was so lovely to meet up with Megan and Andrew in London to shoot their pre wedding portrait session. They are really nice and a friendly couple and it was cool to mix with Aussies again after travelling for a few weeks. Megan and Andrew were great in front of the camera, relaxed and easy to work with. They even climbed on one of the monuments for me and those shots are some of my favourites. I always think these type of shoots are important because it makes it so much easier on the wedding day to make a connection, we build up more trust and confidence and it is nice for the Bride and Groom to get some less formal pictures of themselves as a couple. We started early on Monday morning before Megan and Andrew had to go to work and it was great to start before the workday crowds. We photographed around the famous Trafalgar Square and in front of the National Gallery. We also tried to use some of the more British elements like the famous Double Decker buses, red telephone boxes and black cabs. I am looking forward to their wedding day later this year, which will be held in Sydney and Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to have a shoot in London.

Sally and Chabes Portrait
Today I photographed Sally and Chabes and their 10 month old son Michael. Chabes had recieved a gift voucher for portraits from his work collegues when Michael was born and like for all new parents the time just flew by. Sally was so prepared for their portrait session that we had a huge selection of outfits, Michael was a true professional laughing and giggling through all his various wardrobe changes. Micheal wasn't the only star as Sally and Chabes took the opportunity to be photographed as well.

Wedding in Vinci Florence
We had the great pleasure and privilege to photograph the wedding of Paolo and Francesca Carissimi in the small town of Vinci just West of Florence. (We think!! Once again thank God for GPS) what a magical wedding date to remember 07/07/07, Paolo certainly cannot have the excuse of forgetting this anniversary. These guys are very much in love and the joining now of the two families made everyone excited and happy. They were surrounded by close friends and family at the ceremony, which was held in a church called Chiesa San Croce . This is the same church that Leonardo Da Vinci was baptised in and is over 600 years old. The lunch was held in the cantina de castle around the corner from the church where the guests drank red wine from the local region and sampled typical Tuscan cuisine. It was about 30 degrees and lucky that the church and the town are on a hill, so we got a cool breeze. The surrounding Tuscan scenery is unbelievably beautiful. We had great time.

Florence Album Makers
We met with two album makers here in Florence, Stefano Sternini of Lilivm leather and paper who was very helpful and the team at Pineider who also carry an impressive range of more traditional albums.
We had heard about Pineider through another album maker we met in Milano whose albums were not suitable. He pointed us in the right direction of Pineider’s albums and they were beautiful and a style we have not seen in Australia. The albums are so different here that it has made the trip so worthwhile. The new fashionable colours that were shown to us were incredible and the leather is so soft. In Australia it is mostly cow leather or worse vinyl but here in Italy they use lamb so it is much more softer.
