Trudi gets all th best gigs at taylor-made photography!! Last week she had to shoot the behind the scenes action at Le Specs 2007 for our good friends at Sunshades eyewear.

Bra Boys premier

Trudi shot "stills" for the Bra Boys documentry and so we were invited to the premier last night. It was a great night and this doco is very entertaining and a real insight in the surf culture of Maroubra. If you get a chance to catch it you won't be dissapointed. It is funny ,sad, provocative and emotional but the best thing is that it is a really well told story. Our good friend Micheal and his wife Dianne who are one of the producers of the film have put their heart and soul in to this adventure and it was lovely to see them enjoying the fruits of their success. It was also great catching up with our friends Izzy and Nick, it was Nick's birthday last night as well, so all the best mate. Nick is also credited with creating the tag line for the movie; "Blood is thicker than water" and I think that is pure genious after seeing the flick.
Trudi had a fun night as well being photographed with all the celebrities she knows like Ian Thorpe, Peter Morrissey, Joel Eggerton and Sonny Abberton. Also there were Jamie Durie,Sonny Bill Williams and plenty of footballers from Souths and the Bulldogs plus of course Russell Crowe.

Farris and Helana's Wedding day.

I am bit late posting this week because I am still recovering from Farris and Helena’s marathon 17 hour wedding. What a day! Farris and Helena are so much in love and it was a pleasure to photograph their special day and I can’t believe they are going to do it all over again in Indonesia this Saturday. Juanita is putting together a slideshow of images to show at their second wedding so we are going to hold off posting a slideshow till next week. We started the day at Farris’s home for the traditional dressing of the groom by his parents then to Helena’s place for their first meeting. The bride and groom meet for the first time at the brides home and meet by walking towards each other but backwards and when their backs touch they turn and see each other for the first time on their wedding day. It is kind of cool. The Wedding ceremony was held at the lovely Kin Koppel church that over looks the Harbour and the reception was held at Torwood lounge in Rockdale. We photographed at the light house in Watson Bay and in coffee shops in Double Bay and finished the night with Harbour shots about 1am, these guys even if I say so myself have a mountain of great shots to choose from and their album will be amazing.

We had the pleasure yesterday to photograph Daniela and Sam’s wedding and it was a very a delightful day. The ceremony was held at St Francis Church in Paddington and the bride walked down the isle to the sounds of the singer as the organist had been delayed by the traffic in the city. Daniela and Sam are very much in love and were very easy couple to photograph. (The camera loves you baby!!) A special thanks to Vamps bar and bistro for letting us take some pictures with their funky facade. The reception was held at the Dolton house and I have never seen so much sea food at a wedding. It was great night and it was lovely to see Ross and Angela again too.

Supriya and Doug's Wedding

On Saturday Juanita and I had the pleasure to photograph Doug and Supriya’s wedding. The ceremony and reception took place at the superb Jonah’s restaurant at Palm Beach. The couple who have been living together for three years in Singapore had their guests give donations of money instead of wedding gifts to a charity in Bangladesh that gives loans to poor people so they can work and improve their own lives instead of just handouts that don’t seem to fix the problems. We met Doug and Supriya through a wedding we photographed five years ago David and Amy and it was lovely to see you guys again. Doug and Supriya are truly fantastic people who truly care for others and it was great to be involved with their special day.

Happy Birthday Dillon

Happy Birthday Dillon. Mum and Dad are very proud of you and we hope you have a special day. We love you!!!

I can not believe that it was a 11 years ago today that she was born. We started our first studio about the time Dillon was born and we would bring her to work when trudi had appointments. We had her crib in one of the display cupboards and she would sleep while we worked around her. Apart from the lack of sleep these were fun times. I will try to find a picture of her in the crib. Happy Birthday Beautiful Daughter.

Bridal Expo

Recently Juanita and I spent the weekend talking with prospective Brides and Grooms at the Australian Bridal service expo at the Entertainment centre. There was over 4000 people who attended and the feedback that we received was very positive. The images that we presented and in fact the work that we do was so different to the other photographers that attended. It is going to be a big 2007 and 2008.

Glenn McGrath

A few years ago I had the pleasure to photograph the family portrait of Glenn and Jane McGrath. Glenn ofcourse is a famous cricketer and Jane is a wonderful person.
It was Glenn's last game at the SCG yesterday and it was marvelous to see him take a wicket with the last ball of his career. He will go down history as one of the great fast bowlers.

Kim and Steve's wedding

Friday was Australia day and we celebrated by shooting Kim and Steve’s wedding. It was a great day and Kim and Steve are really nice people. They originally wanted a quiet low key wedding but all their friends and family love to party so much it ended up a wonderful event at Dee Dee’s restaurant in Abbotsford.
We were referred to Kim and Steve by the Upston family and it was lovely to see Sharelle and Colleen again and we look forward to seeing them in November as well.

Happy New Year!!!

I just wanted to take the time now to thank all our customers for trusting
Taylor- Made with their photographic wishes. It truly has been a privilege to be known as your family’s professional photographer. We had a great 2006 year and now as our new studio takes shape we are hoping for an even better 2007.

A measure for any business is of course the input of its customers, so we are using a suggestion box on our blog to gather your comments, suggestions and experiences. We are looking for anything positive that you think may help

Sabrina and Duke slide show

Sabrina and Duke

Sabrina and Duke had a fantastic wedding yesterday. It was a gorgeous day, sunny and warm and Sabrina was equally as gorgeous. She was dressed in a Sarah Devine created dress and it suited her style so well. Duke with his English background was dressed in a typical morning suit and looked very handsome although perhaps a little hot for the Australian conditions. Their wedding was held at Cabarita Park and later the reception was at the famous Banjo Patterson Restaurant. We photographed on the beach at Cabarita and then we had a mini Harbour cruise with a water taxi taking us to long nose point at Balmain. Some of the English contingent including Duke’s mum who flew out from the UK were treated to some of the sites of the harbor and they were thrilled.
