Melissa and Jon's Wedding

Arriving at Melissa and Jon’s town house complex we were greeted with a lovely street party that was arrange by the friends and neighbors who live together with them in the quite cul-de-sac. Jon and Melissa are a modern couple who had decided to have their photo shoot before the ceremony and so it was arranged that Jon would enter the house hand over the bouquet of flowers, meet for the first time and then we would go off for photos. As they left the house the street party turned up a notch or two and the whole group started dancing and singing it was such a happy moment and something special for Juanita and I to witness and document. This naturally set the photo shoot off on the right foot and we had a great time shooting a long the streets of Paddington and Mckell Park. Their ceremony was held at the same venue as the reception the wonderful Mandalay in Lane Cove. This meant that after the ceremony which was a lovely joyous affair, the Bride and Groom could spend time with their friends and family and then go straight in to the dinner with out their guests having to wait around for them to have photos.

Christiee and Ben's Wedding

Our Bride Christie on Saturday broke with tradition during her reception by being the first speaker at her and Ben’s wedding toasts. She spoke of love, family bonds and friendship as well as her hopes and dreams for the life that she and Ben would start to lead. She finished of her speech with a lovely sentiment that although I can’t exactly recall word for word, it went something like this, love is taking the day off from work together, holding hands during long walks by the beach, eating fish and chips together gazing over the ocean, coming home and not telling a soul what you did!
Ben and Christie celebrated their wedding vowels at the lovely Camilla gardens in Caring bah with the threat of rain looming but by the end of the ceremony the sun was shining and we had a picture perfect afternoon for photography. Christie and Ben are a really lovely couple who had met in high school and had been seeing each other for eight years before Christie accepted Bens hand in marriage. They chose the 15th of November because it was exactly 3000 days from the first day they met which I thought was very romantic.
Their reception was held at the fantastic Summer salt restaurant down at Cronulla which has the best food, most friendly staff and beautiful views around and they partied the night away with great sounds of their two piece band 2fold.

Marlene and Raj's Wedding

Marlene and Raj had a traditional Hindu ceremony today at the very popular Le Montage events venue in Leichhardt. Marlene looked amazing in her bright red sari and Raj equally as handsome in his own traditional garments. The day started of early with the dressing of the groom and then on to Marlene's mothers home for the pictures of the Bride.
The Hindu ceremony has lots of customs and I am sure the smoke detectors must have been turned of because they certainly had some smoke and fire going through the ceremony. Raj and Marlene will have a more western style reception/party next weekend with a cruise on the Harbour which should also be lots of fun.
