Chad and Sonya's wedding

I had the fantastic opportunity to photograph Chad and Sonya's wedding on the Gold Coast on Wednesday. It was such a fun day, Julian and I flew in on the morning of the wedding and were met at the airport by Sonya's dad who chauffeured us to the resort where we found the groom and all the boys in the spa, what an awesome way to start your wedding day. Chad and Sonya have such a great bunch of friends and family it was a pleasure to meet them all and capture their day. Sonya looked amazing, it was to easy to get great shots of her.The event was held at Radisson resort and we photographed on location at Bond University which was the perfect spot to create their portrait images.

Rachel and Charlie

Rachel and Charlie met at school as 17 year olds and were married on Saturday at St Patricks church in Parramatta. Later that evening they had a beautiful reception at the Doltone House Prymont with 411 of their closest friends and family.
Rachel with all her style and elegance looked amazing in her Velani designed dress and Charlie was all the dashing groom. This was a really fun wedding to photograph, the bridal party were always smiling for the camera and all their guests were having such a great time it was hard to take a bad picture of anyone. It was nice to work with Mark from Moving Presentations again. He is one of the great video guys we work with and his audio capture throughout the ceremony and reception sets him apart from many others.
One thing that Rachel and Charlie did differently at their reception was to donate $4 for each guest to Daffodil Day cancer charity instead of giving each Bonbonaire gift and with 411 guests that was a size able and thoughtful donation to charity. The other thing they did a bit differently was to have a photo booth. Guests could get a fun zany picture of themselves and one set would be presented to the bride and groom in an album and the other was a nice momento they could keep for themselves.

Peterson Family Portrait

I had a wonderful time once again photographing the Peterson family down on Balmoral beach last Monday morning. I have photographed this family for many years and as Melinda mentioned their home is a shrine to Taylor-made Photography because every where you look are images that I have taken. It makes me feel really happy to know that my clients like what I do enough to have me photograph them year after year. It is also great to see their family growing up to be wonderful kids.

Anastasia

Today I had a portfolio photo shoot with Anastasia, she is an aspiring model and drama student who studies at the renowned McDonald College school for drama in North Strathfield. Her European look is becoming more and more popular in the Japanese and Asian markets and the brief was to up date her portfolio with images that express her personality which I think we achieved.

Elizabeth and Eric

It ended up being a lovely sunny Wednesday afternoon to photograph Eric and Elizabeth’s wedding photo shoot. They were married on the 20th of May and you might remember Juanita shot some lovely images of their ceremony in Parramatta. Wednesday it was my turn to photograph this lovely couple. We started in the Rocks area to create a range of romantic images then moved on to the steps Opera House to record the Bride and Groom with the Iconic harbour views of Sydney and then on to Luna Park to advantage of the fading evening light.
To further enhance their married bliss Eric and Elizabeth will have another ceremony and function in Hong Kong later on in the year.

Joanne and Evan's wedding in Tuscany

As expected Jo and Evan had a marvelous wedding in hills of Tuscany. The 14th century castle called Castello De Bibbione was the perfect setting for this romantic, emotional and elegant wedding. Joanne looked amazing in her Mariana Hardwick designed wedding dress that suited her so well and Evan also looked the dashing Groom. The lead up to the wedding was lots of fun in between shooting the lovely couples pre wedding pictures and meeting all their wonderful guests at the pizza night Martin and I managed to see the sights of Tuscany including Florence, Sienna, Grieve, Certaldo and San Gianamo. Enjoying Pizza, pasta and Cannoli's along the way. It had been a whirl wind seven days but so much fun too.
Evan and Jo had met as 18 year olds in university but even after all this time Evan's tears flowed freely when Jo made her entrance down the isle with her father Keith, Evan joked that it was the warm sun but we all knew his tears were from the heart were for Jo.
The other thing that sticks in my mind about the ceremony was the amazing rendition of Ava Maria by the wonderful singer Frederico, it was one of those things you had to be there to really enjoy but his voice carrying through the hills of Tuscany was a joy to witness and Evan and Jo were captivated by his performance.
The reception was held in the open air courtyard of the castle were the guests enjoyed a home made pasta entree, a delightful steak with seasonal vegetables for main course and the traditional Italian wedding cake for desert. The wedding cake was made before our eyes by the head chef which was amazing and really really yummy. At most European weddings if the guests cling the glasses the bride and groom are required to kiss but Evan and Jo had a more personal and unique take on this. As they went around to say hello the table of guests would have to sing a few lines from a love song and then they would kiss. Doing this really created a relaxed atmosphere. All the guests partied the rest of the night to the awesome band and Evan and Jo finished the night by leaving on a white vespa to enjoy their honeymoon along the Almafi coast.
