Dora and Andrew

Dora and Andrew are a great looking couple who will be having there wedding later in the year. This week we shot their pre wedding portrait and it was fun to catch up with them again. We had to cancel their shoot because of the rain a coupe of times and even at this shoot I thought we were going to have rain and so Andrew and Dora are convinced it will pouring on their wedding day which I said was the best time to photography. They are so relaxed and cool in front of the camera and they made my job really easy and fun. I think these guys will look fantastic on their wedding day and it will be another wedding for me to look forward to.

Cafe Fifi Foveaux

Thanks again to the fun crew down at cafe Fifi Foveaux in Surry Hills who made it possible for us to get some great shots with Nick and Helena.
The cafe is on the corner of Crown and Foveaux street.

Karla and Jason's Engagement

Karla and Jason have just recently decided to get married and to celebrate their union Jason’s sister Sandra gifted them an engagement shoot and wall enlargement to help document this special time in their lives.
We met Sandra when we photographed her wedding to Carmello over 10 years ago and over the years she has been a great customer and Taylor Made Photography advocate. We really appreciate all the goodwill she has sent our way.
Karla and Jason are still looking at dates for 2009 and will most likely have their wedding at the famous Conca Doro lounge in Riverwood and Regina Coeli church in Beverly Hills where Karla went to school but this is just the start of their organizing plans.

Helena and Nick

We started Saturday’s wedding with Helena and Nick at the Greek Church in Redfern and it was a relief not to have to start as early in the day as we have at some functions. Helena who is originally from Sweden and Nick met whilst he was traveling around Greece and Mykinos on holidays and after a few hundred emails and a meeting in London, Helena made the big step to come to Australia and the rest as they say is history.
Juanita and I had a blast photographing their day; Nick is so besotted with Helena that creating memorable images for them was a privilege. The bridal party was so much fun and so easy to work with. We look forward to seeing most of you again at George and Amanda’s wedding in March. After the ceremony we traveled to Surry Hills to café Fifi Foveaux for a relaxed start to the photo shoot where we managed to get some great pictures and great coffee!
Thanks to all the staff there, your hospitality is very much appreciated. It was such a hot day and the break at the café was such a good idea. (Even though all the buses were trying to kill me!!)
The whole Bridal party traveled together in a white stretch Hummer from HF Limousines and as a coincidence the driver Tony trains at the same Fitness First as Juanita and I do. We see him almost every morning and it was not till the wedding that it clicked where we knew him from.
Helena and Nick had an awesome party/reception at Summer salt restaurant in Cronulla where Brooke and her staff created a wonderful event, they are so friendly and professional, the dinner was simply amazing and the desert was so nice that it took all my will power not to eat DJ’s.

2006 Year Book

Each year Juanita and I compile a year book featuring the weddings of couples we have photographed the previous year. Then during the next year as couples come back for reprints or enlargements they write something next to their images in our year book. It is a great momento for us and it is really gratifing to look back on the comments that people have written. It is also so lovely to be appreciated so much by our great couples. Helen and Herman

We had a great time yesterday photographing the wedding of Helen and Herman even though it was quite warm and humid. These guys are so much in love and they just complement each other so well. Herman is a keen amateur photographer and it was great to see him getting so excited about the images we were making, they have so many fantastic photos to choose from. You might remember we did a fully attired pre wedding shoot with them a few weeks ago and yesterday they were married in the beautiful out door wedding ceremony area of Eden Gardens in North Ryde. It was the same location where we also photographed Herman’s sister Carmen and husband Karlson wedding in 2006 and it was lovely to see them again. Herman and Helen have lovely families and it was wonderful to see everyone and also thank you for the red packets with lucky money, my kids were very excited to be given such a treat.
