Amanda & George's Wedding

Amanda and George had a fantastic wedding yesterday and it was great to share and record their happiness. They were both so happy and Amanda was radiant and beautiful.
Their ceremony was lovely and a little different with a combination of Catholic and Orthodox rituals which was a great compromise to their different beliefs and backgrounds.
After the ceremony we shot the location photos around a new location in Redfern where we discovered a variety of back grounds and great photo opportunities. It was so much fun to shoot there, maybe it was because of the fantastic people in the Bridal party but I think we will use that location again.
From there it was off to the Zita bar in the Hilton Hotel for some relaxing cocktails and unique picture taking.
Their reception was at the ever lovely Queen Victoria Tea rooms where the food is amazing and the atmosphere is stunning.

Tajana and Richard

This past Easter Monday we had the pleasure to photograph the beautiful wedding of Tajana and Richard. Tajana will be busily preparing for world youth day when his eminence the Pope and thousands of people will come to Sydney to celebrate Christianity and Easter Monday was the only available date before things get to hectic.
The ceremony held at St Mary’s cathedral was one of the most spiritual that I have ever photographed with many cardinals including George Pell in attendance and wonderful singing from the choir. I am sure it was recorded in all its grace by our friend Ross from E Films who was on hand to tape all the movement and sounds.

Trash the Dress

This week I was interviewed by the Sun Herald news paper for an article coming out soon on Trash the wedding dress. Which is rapidly becoming popular where Brides and Grooms do a post wedding shoot all dressed up again but we photograph them in outrageous locations like swimming pools and in the surf, infact anywhere you would not typically see a Bride. I can see it catching on as many brides complain that they only get to wear their wonderful dress once and that the day goes by so quickly. So what better excuse than to do it all over again and maybe let down your hair and do a more risky shoot. If your going to get your dress dry cleaned any way, why not give the dry cleaners something to really clean.
It was also mentioned during the shoot that this is a great way to also celebrate your first wedding anniversary!!

Carrie and Anthony's wedding

It was a pleasure to photograph Carrie and Anthony’s wedding in Parramatta on Saturday, they are great couple and we had a lot of fun in the few hours we were with them. They celebrated their ceremony at old Government house in the middle of Parramatta Park which was nice and shady and not to warm. It was the first wedding that I had ever been to where the celebrant had an assistant celebrant and together they delivered a very entertaining ceremony for Carrie, Anthony and their guests.
Carrie was transported in style to the ceremony in 1960’s Chevy’s from Silver Lined Chevy's.
When Juanita and I arrived at the house Carrie was still feeling the effects of her night out before the wedding where she screamed herself horse watching her team the Roosters beat the Bunnies in the first game of the NRL season.

Studio Portraits

Studio portraits can be a fun and modern way to photography couples, especially with Winter coming soon and with most couples working during the week and Taylor-made working weekends this is a great alternative to meet in our busy schedules. I photographed Lauren and Justin's wedding in 2004 and they were kind enough to help out with this shoot and a personal art series that I have just started.
