AIPP Awards 2011

Congratulations are in order for Darren on his latest success within the Australian Photography Industry. As you are aware Darren entered his photography book New York Minute into the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) annual competition and has come out with a Silver Distinction Award.

This is a great achievement as Darren was up against some of Australia's finest photographers. To come out with a Silver Award in both Travel and Photographic Book category is something worth celebrating over.

A New York Minute

Earlier this year Darren took his camera on a trip to New York for just one week and photographed the city and all of its simplicities. On returning home Darren designed a book of his travels to the Big Apple called New York minute. He entered it into the Momento photo Book Competition. A few weeks later he got a phone call from the judges explaining that his book was named one of this year’s finalists, which really, comes as no surprise. Anyone familiar with Darren’s work understands his ability to take mundane things such as a leaf floating in a grubby puddle and turning it into an artistic masterpiece. His book, A New York minute is an accomplishment in itself and is yet another piece of work to add to his successes. Check out A New York Minute here.

Amanda and Daniel

Recently I had the pleasure to photograph Amanda and Daniel's pre wedding shoot in the Rocks. These guys are such lovely people and the shoot was so much fun. Amanda looked amazing in her black dress, so stylish and they looked so great together. They will be having there wedding at Mandalay in Lane Cove which is such a lovely venue.
