Nicole and Alen's pre wedding portraits

I was down in the "gong" yesterday to photograph Alen and Nicole's pre wedding portraits. It was great to get out of Sydney and meet up with these guys at their reception venue at the Novatel North Beach. They are having a large wedding here at the end of the month with two ceremonies planned which I suppose will make them doubly married. We had a great time at the shoot and working out the locations for the wedding. They are such a great couple to photograph, really relaxed and happy to do anything for the camera. My youngest daughter Dillon was a brilliant assistant who took a couple of awesome pics of me working on the shoot, soon she will be working for Taylor-made Photography. We had lunch down on the beach together which was cool.

Melissa, Mark and Cooper

In 2006 I photographed Mark and Melissa's wedding and today we had a great time photographing their first family portrait with their new son Cooper.
Cooper is such a cool name and he was such a willing participant in all the photos, even when we put him in the garden bed although he liked to eat all the leaves.
With all the dust we decided to do the shoot at their home and even though Mark had to move a bit of furniture around it was a great space to do the shoot.
I think it is a credit to Taylor-Made Photography that so many of our past wedding clients also commission us to photograph their families after the wedding.

Anna and Sandro

Earlier in the week when Anna was scheduling her pre wedding portrait she asked "what happens if it rains?" to which i replied nonchalantly that there are plenty of places in the Rocks that are under cover. We had a laugh when we met today and Anna asked "so what happens if we have an end of the world style dust storm".
It was not that bad by the afternoon of course and we were able to get some really nice pictures. Anna and Sandro are having their wedding next year and they look so well suited to each other. They are another Taylor-made photography couple who are both so natural in front of the camera and we are going to have a great time at their wedding.

Rebecca and Dennis

Rebecca and Dennis celebrated their wedding at the Automobile club in the city and then had a gorgeous reception at Doltone House on Jones Bay wharf. Rebecca the beautiful Bride looked amazing and Dennis the dashing Groom was all smiles all day. Because of the unseasonal warm weather we shot their Bridal portraits in Martin Place where the cool breeze cooled things down a bit and I think this location really suited the style of the couple. Later we photographed around the wharves of Prymont and as we were shooting a party boat with lots of drunk revellers was docking and they all started singing going to the chapel going to get married which was a lot of fun for the Bride and Groom.

Steve and Katie's wedding day

Juanita and Paula had a fantastic time photographing Katie and Steve's wedding last Saturday. The happy couple celebrated their wedding at St Benedict's church in Broadway and then had a great time dancing the night away at their reception held at Oatlands House in Dundas. The girls took so many fantastic shots during the day that Katie and Steve are going to have hard time choosing for their album and Juanita mentioned that it was fun to work with Anthony from four leaf films again, he always has so many great stories to tell.

Simeon and Kristen's pre wedding shoot

kristen and Simeon are a cool young couple who's wedding I am shooting in December. Sometimes couples can be a bit nervous for their first photo shoot and one of the main purposes of a pre wedding shoot is to get the couple feeling at ease but these guys are so naturally and so relaxed for the camera that the shoot was a breeze. Taking pictures with these guys was so much more fun than paying bills in the office and a great way to spend a Thursday afternoon.

Sarah & Corey's Wedding Byron Bay

It was such a pleasure for all of us here at Taylor-made photography to photograph Sarah and Corey's wedding in Byron Bay this week end. It was great to meet all their friends and family at the Friday BBQ, where the humor, red wine and beer flowed. We woke the next morning to heavy rain but the weather cleared for their Fabulous wedding and it was so nice on the beach. They had been engaged for 13 years and the way they look at each other you would think they just met. Their ceremony was on the beach and the reception was at the very elegant Byron beach cafe. The meals there we truly delicious and the cake was chocolate mud which was to die for. The cake which was a gift from the couples friends Paris and Billy of Planet Cake had a bumpy ride up from Sydney and was damaged by some baggage handlers who didn't seem to know what fragile handle with care means and Paris and Billy spent half the night before the wedding repairing the damage.
It was such a fun wedding to photograph, every one was so friendly and all the kids in the bridal party were so well behaved. I think Juanita and I created some great images for Sarah and Corey. It was Nicole the celebrants first ever wedding, she has been a friend of Sarah's for a few years and it was wonderful that they could share this milestone together.
Our good friend Lauren from Moi Moi fine jewellery was a guest at this wedding and it was so cool to travel and hang out with her and Nicole all week end. Juanita found this great cafe called the balcony bar and so if your looking for a place for brekky in Byron it is highly recommended.
