Photo Shoot in Venice

The photo shoot in Venice went really well. We had to get up early about 5am to get the good light and make sure that the Piazza was less crowded. As you can see the images are well worth the lack of sleep. There is a photo exibition here which we will see this afternoon.

Customer Service

You might remember Shaun and Miseon, I photographed their wedding in April and won a gold award with one of the images that I shot at the reception. They live in Korea and received their albums recently, they loved the albums but a couple of shots were wrong. Things happen and we are only human but if we can fix anything we will. I think it is this value towards customer service that has set us apart from many other studios. Because we were flying to Europe via Korea I decided to extend our stop over by a day, originally we were only going to be a few hours, that gave us a chance to fix the pics that were wrong.
You can see Trudi changing the page in Miseon's Album in the foyer of the hotel.

Jamie and John

Mother nature was on our side yesterday when we photographed Jaime and John's wedding. What started as a chilly and rainy morning, evolved into a gorgeous winters afternoon. It was wonderful to see floral designer Vesna Grasso again, she did a fantastic job on Jamie's bouquet and all the flowers at the reception. Jamie and John started their day early in the morning with the traditional games and tea ceremonies and then on to the Tearooms at the Gunners Barracks for the civil ceremony and lunch reception followed by everyone joining them on the dancefloor to dance the afternoon away. We finished off the day by taking shots down at Balmoral Beach, and finished just before the rain set in for the night!

New Display in Studio

We have a new display image in our studio. It is a great picture that Trudi took and I just love Ali's gaze. The image is directly opposite the entrance to the studio and the focus really is on you when enter the room.

Aimee's wedding gift

Yesterday I photographed Aimee's family portrait down on the harbour at Lavender Bay. It was a bit cold and rainy but we managed to get some lovely pictures. This family portrait is going to be a gift for Jaime and Johnny's wedding which I will be shooting next Sunday at the Gunners Barracks in Mosman. Something different and a lovely gesture from Aimee.

Maggie and Charlie's wedding

We had a great time at Maggie and Charlie’s wedding, they are both very much in love and it was a real pleasure to be involved in photographing their day.
It was so much fun and we were very lucky considering the extreme weather of the previous few days. It didn’t rain at all when we were shooting. Trudi even made a celebrity cameo appearance during the portrait session and all the best pictures of Maggie and Charlie were taken by her. It is always exciting photographing in winter because there is the chance to shoot with artificial light and results can be very different and artistic. It can be very challenging but when you have a handsome and cool couple like Maggie and Charlie who were happy to try anything it is made a lot easier.

Flint 2007

Yesterday Trudi and Junaita had early morning fun again - this time they were shooting at Port Botany for the New Flint Sunglass Range. This shoot was great fun as it was with a small crew of Art Director -Reina (who Trudi just loves to work with) and her assistant Stephanie plus Nathan who not only models but is also the designer of the Flint Range.
The shoot was brought forward at short notice due to the weather predictions for Thursday and after waking up this morning and seeing it was raining Trudi was very glad they did.
The new range of glass look hot with the range marketed for 30+ males. I think Trudi captured it well and Nathan looks fantastic.
Reina from Sunshades has put together some sample ads for possible runs that I have put on the blog.
