Elizabeth and Matt's wedding day.

Elizabeth and Matt's friday wedding was a blast to photograph, they are such a great couple, easy going and relaxed. They had the perfect wedding day and i remembered thinking that it doesn't get any better than this. Wonderful weather with awesome lighting, a fun bridal party that were happy to do what ever it takes to get a great picture and a couple who just look fantastic in every image.
The ceremony location at Observatory hill was as always picture perfect, what was special for Matt and Elizabeth was that two of their cousins were able to perform the music during the ceremony although the double bass was a bit of a handful to get up there.
What was also cool was getting to the reception at La Aqua in Darling Harbour to be greeted by two couples whose weddings i had shot more than a few years ago, Pip and Shaun and Katie and Kent who remembered me and still love their own wedding photos. It was wonderful to see them again.

Maya and Ricky

Ricky and Maya are having their wedding at the Star Room above Darling Harbour later in the year and on Saturday we had a fun time shooting their pre wedding photo session.
Maya had used the occasion to test out her make up plans with a trial that morning and she looked great; I loved her mod looking jacket she purposely bought for the shoot also.

They both look so happy together and the red umbrella was a fantastic accessory to have on the shoot. Maya is thinking she should get some more for her bridal party which I think is a good idea because it gives another element to the pictures.

Carrie and Anthony's wedding

It was a pleasure to photograph Carrie and Anthony’s wedding in Parramatta on Saturday, they are great couple and we had a lot of fun in the few hours we were with them. They celebrated their ceremony at old Government house in the middle of Parramatta Park which was nice and shady and not to warm. It was the first wedding that I had ever been to where the celebrant had an assistant celebrant and together they delivered a very entertaining ceremony for Carrie, Anthony and their guests.
Carrie was transported in style to the ceremony in 1960’s Chevy’s from Silver Lined Chevy's.
When Juanita and I arrived at the house Carrie was still feeling the effects of her night out before the wedding where she screamed herself horse watching her team the Roosters beat the Bunnies in the first game of the NRL season.

Jane and Doug's Wedding

Our last wedding of the year with Jane and Doug was a terrific day. Jane had her heart set on having Bondi Beach as one of her photo locations and even though it was raining I made the call to go there anyway and my decision paid off because the rain stopped and the light was particularly soft and flattering. It was fun to shoot on the famous Australian land mark and all the beach goers were fascinated to see a bride and groom having a great time being photographed on the beach. The ceremony and the reception were held at the famous Westin Hotel and everything went like clock work thanks to Jane’s colour coded running sheet. Jane and Doug have really great friends and family and it was lovely to see some familiar faces at the wedding again and Juanita and look forward to seeing them in the New Year too.

Shirley and Michael's Wedding 10th November 2007

Shirley and Michael had an intimate wedding at Observatory Hill with nine of their friends. Shirley looked amazing and Michael could not keep his eyes of her the whole day. Shirley had spent the week before the wedding cramming all her Uni assignments so she could really relax on her honeymoon with Michael in the Maldives. It was a perfect spring day after a week of rain and it flowed very smoothly from Michael’s calming few drinks at the Lord Nelson right through to the intimate dinner at the Observatory Hotel. Michael and Shirley chose the Observatory Hill location and the Hotel as a theme because Michael has a degree in Astro Physics. Also I have to make mention of his out there bow tie which looked awesome, it was such a great tie that it came out to meet you.
