Dancing on Ice

Our very good friends Alana and Lauren from Moi Moi have been sponsoring Dancing on Ice by providing the stars with jewellry. Last night was the Grand Final and Trudi and Juanita were on hand to help out with the pro mo photos. It was a good chance for Trudi to catch up with her friend Gian Rooney who she has photographed a few times and hang out with a few celebs. There was a stable of channel 9 stars there, as well as Alyce Camplin, Lara Bingle, Sami Lukis and the winner Jake Wall.

Pre Wedding shoot with Carmen and Karlson

In Asia it is very popular for couples to be photographed before the the wedding day in all their bridal spendour. Carmen had requested that we do a shoot like that as their is not a lot of time on her real wedding day for the variety of photos she wanted. It was a whole lot of fun to photograph without the time restrictions and it became a quite a production. Carmen and Karlson were fantastic such a wonderful couple. Any thing we asked them to do was greetd with a smile and an enthusiastic response. We photographed in a few locations around the city and we even found a stray Beagle. I had my friend Paul from VanderVideo film parts of the shoot so look forward to our next info-mercial. The images from the shoot are awesome and I think it will be hard to notice that they wer not shot on the real wedding day which is the 8th of October.

Naomi and Tim e-session.

This week end Trudi also photographed the engagement session of Tim and Naomi. The shoot was taken in the rustic area of the rocks. Trudi always makes her couples feel so relaxed and it shows in the images that she creates. Naomi had mentioned how comfortable she was with the session and how easy Trudi makes having your photo taken. Trudi had a wonderful time taking Naomi and Tim's portraits and is looking forward to their wedding which is only a few short weeks away on the 7th of October.

The wedding of Veronique and Alberto

This weekend I had the good fortune to photograph Veronique and Alberto’s wedding. What a great day! We had so much fun and I took so many fantastic images (if I do say so my self) it was hard for me to choose which ones to post. All the elements came together so well; a beautiful bride, a handsome groom and a fun loving bridal party plus brilliant weather to top it all off.

Veronique’s dress was designed for her by Verlani and they were married at St Peters Channel in Hunters Hill, Their reception was held at the lovely Waters edge function centre, that it is a cool place to have a wedding, great food and view of the Harbour to die for. How is this for a cool Honeymoon, two weeks in Queenstown skiing and then a week in the Cook Islands to defrost?

Michelle and Myles are getting married

Our good friends Michelle and Myles are getting married next March at Vaucluse House and they have commissioned Trudi and myself to photograph their big day. It is a really great compliment that they chose us as Michelle is an awesome pro photographer as well and Myles is a great cinematographer and director. We are so looking forward to photographing their wedding as Michelle wants a more arty, edgy and abstract approach.

Happy Anniversary Anh and Trong

Two years ago we photographed Anh and Trong's wedding, they had a wonderful day lots of sunshine and everything just seemed to fall in to place. Except when the veil blew off Anh's head and landed down a small cliff at Observertory Hill. About five meters down, we thought it was lost but the car driver had his fishing gear in the boot as he was going fishing after the wedding and was lucky enough to hook the veil and get it back.

Pre Wedding shoot with Sam and Leah

Boy what a fun time I had shooting Sam and Leah's engagement session. These guys had me in stitches the whole time. We laughed so much that my cheeks were acheing. In between all the fun we managed to get a few great shots too. Leah wants to display a large image from the shoot at the reception on the day of the wedding for all her guests to sign around the mounting. Its a great alternative to guest book and becomes a wonderful momento of the day. I can not wait for their wedding which is at the end of October, we are going to have such a good time.

MLC Father Daughter Dance

We had a great time last night at the MLC Father /Daughter dance. It was Dillon's last one as she will be going into middle school next year. The theme was aliens and most of the dad's including me came as Darth Vader. Everyone had a top time and the organising committee did an excellent job organising the food, decorations and music. All the teachers were there and they were all wearing cool costumes as well. These nights are great for the Dads as they can spend time doing something together with their daughters, have a bit of fun and meet other Dads. Trudi and I set up the studio lights in one corner of the hall and Trudi shot the portraits of all the kids with their Dads. It was a bit of a factory line but all the Dads were very happy to have some good shots taken of themselves and their daughters. They will be on show at the school for all the mums to see.

AIPP Winter conference

Just spent the last few days at the AIPP winter conference held at the Carrington Hotel in the Blue Mountains. We had a great time. Caught up with some friends we had not seen for a while and made some new friends as well. Trudi and I were guest speakers here a few years ago and it was good to be in the audience this time. One of the speakers was our good friend Tero from Tasmania. It was really cool to see him again and his business work ethic and acumen is amazing. He really motivated all of the 100 attendees who were there.

Published in Russh Magazine

Trudi this month has images published in Russh Magazine. She is pretty excited to see her images in print and they look fantastic. The client Blinde (sunglasses) were thrilled with the results.

Thank You Card

We just received an awesome Thank you card from Kelly and Alex and I wanted to share it. We photographed their wedding last April. Wow, read the words on the card, it is just wonderful to receive such praise and we feel honoured that Kelly and Alex feel that way about their wedding photos.

the card reads... Dear Trudi, Darren and Juanita.
Om my God What can we say?
You are all Superstars!
We could never ever hope to let you know just what your photos of our wedding mean to us. Your gift to the Bridal Expo was very generous but everything that you guys brought with it was what made the experience beyond anything we had ever hoped for. You are just the Best. Thank you for being there with us.
Kelly and Alex.

Home Studio

We have moved our studio temporarly to home in Concord this week because the cafe that we shared with in Summer Hill needed to take over the upstairs for a function they have booked at the end of the month. Our new warehouse studio will not be ready for a few months and so we decided to move to home. The new phone number is 97433529 and this number will transfer to the new studio in the future. We are loving working from home but are really excited about our new studio which is on Majors Bay road at Concord.
