Leah and Sam

We had such a great time photographing Leah and Sam’s wedding yesterday. The day went by so quickly because we were having so much fun and these guy’s are so easy to work with. Sam loves the camera and Leah is just so gorgeous it is hard to take a bad photo of her. We went down to pier 9 for the photo shoot, this location seems to be getting popular with photographers as there was another 5 weddings down there but I could see that the other bridal parties were jealous because we were having so much fun shooting cool and individual things compared to them lining up like chocolate soldiers in front of a wall. Their reception was held at the Castel Doro function centre and as it turns out Juanita’s cousin works there as a waiter.

Amy and Travers

It was a pleasure to photograph Amy and Travers on Friday; we are getting more and more enquires for non weekend weddings as lot of Saturdays and Sundays get booked quickly. Their wedding was very romantic and emotional, plenty of happy tears and a lot of love from family and friends. Amy really wanted to get married and got to the church 15 minutes earlier than the scheduled time. Their reception was held at the La Montage function centre and they had a lovely bridal waltz were they danced in a sea of clouds. It was very romantic and the guests were all captivated with the mood it created. To keep up the mood of romance they are going to spend two weeks in Mauritius for their honeymoon.

Luke and Clare

Juanita and I photographed Clare and Luke’s wedding on Sunday and we had an absolute ball. Clare and Luke are such nice people, friendly and were happy for us to do what ever we wanted. We got this wedding through another referral from Ellena and John; you may remember we photographed their wedding earlier in the month. Clare’s make up was done by Luscious by Siham and how is this for an entrance to the reception. First the bridesmaids and groomsmen were announced and then preceding the bride and groom was an eight piece Scottish Highland pipe band to pipe them in but to top that off they drove into the reception in a Mustang from Mustang Sally wedding cars. Yes!! Check the picture they actually drove the car into the function centre. Fhillipo, Francesca and the staff of Conca Doro really know how to start off an evening

Rob and Jenny

I photographed Rob and Jenny’s wedding last Saturday on what should have been a warm spring day but it ended up rainy and about 11 degrees. Jenny and the girls were awesome with handling the cold, girls seem to be able to handle cold weather better than guys, I had a long sleeve shirt and woollen vest and was still freezing. We managed to get some great pictures; Jenny and Rob look so good together and are so in love, it really shows in the images. Their funky reception was held at Summer Salt, a restaurant down on the Elouera beach
Nice ambience and lovely food, Rob and Jen had one of their friends take pictures of the guests with a Polaroid camera and then got them to write comments on the picture. I thought this was very cool idea and will make a great memento for the bride and groom.

The wedding Celia and James

Wow – what a fantastic wedding Juanita and Trudi had on the weekend. It is always a thrill to photography a wedding that is a little out of the ordinary and James and Celia’s wedding was just that. Celia wore a chocolate coloured gown instead of the traditional white and Trudi and Juanita photographed the bride and groom together before the ceremony, in front of a blazing fire in the middle of spring! Celia and James spent the night before their wedding with their bridal party in a family home converted into a bed and breakfast and Trudi found lots of little spots to photograph, giving James and Celia a variety of images including in front of the fireplace on an unusually cold October day. After the ceremony canapés and drinks were served in the Church hall next door with catering provided by Karen will Cater. Special thanks to Fiona (Bridesmaid) and Geoffrey for referring us, we photographed their wedding in 2002 and we still talk about your Bridal Waltz karaoke. Teresa and Daniel

Teresa and Daniel are getting married in November and today I shot their engagement shoot. They are looking to get a signature frame for guest to sign, I think this is a better idea than a guest book that is put away never to be seen again as the frame will always be on the wall for everyone to see. They are also wanting to present at the reception to the parents a framed photo from the actual wedding day as well, we offer this service which is a lovely thought for the parents. We preorder the frame to be ready for the day and on the way to the reception we stop off to the lab and organise for the print to be printed and later during the night the lab delivers the print, framed and gift wrapped ready for the presentation to the parents. They love getting a picture from the day it is a fantastic gift.

Marty and Louise

Marty works with our good Justin at Art Essentials Framing, the picture framers that make our prints look that much better. Louise and Marty had an intimate wedding on Wednesday in Prymont with just a few close friends and family and I was more than happy to meet them after the ceremony for a few quick snaps to help them remember their day. Mid week weddings are always are relaxed and casual, Louise looked lovely and Marty scrubed up ok too. They are spending the next few weeks in Italy on their honeymoon and I wonder if they will bang into any of our other clients over there seems everyone lately is going to Italy for their holiday. If any one out there has a wedding planned in Italy next year and needs a Photographer, Trudi and I keen. We can meet you over there.

Trudi's Tafe Portfolio

Trudi gives back to the community by teaching partime at Tafe and she likes to introduce her self to each new class by showing some images from her portfoilio

Micheal Chetham's family portrait

It is a great feeling to be asked to take other photographers family portraits. Micheal Chetham is a very popular portrait photographer with a studio in Willoughby and we came up with this idea that I would photograph his family and he would photograph my family. We did the shoot along the piers on Hickson rd. It was a great couple hours and then we had Tapas at one of the bars there.
Every one at some stage in your life should get a prfessional photographer to take your portraits, it is such a fun experience.

Carmen and Karlson's wedding

Carmen and Karlson are just a pleasure to photograph. You may remember that we did a pre wedding shoot earlier of these two and Sunday was the actual wedding day. The ceremony was held at the Eden Gardens with the reception at the QVB tea room. Carmen had invited us to dine with her guests and so Juanita and I were treated to all the trimmings and the meal I must say was amazing. The day started out at Carmen's home with some getting ready shots, then the ceremony and Eden Gardens for photos with family and Bridal party. Eden Gardens is a great venue for an out door ceremonies and is great as a photo location as well. Later we went back to Karlson and Carmen's home for the tea ceremonies and then met back at the QVB for more photos before the reception. I would like to Thank QVB centre management for helping us with our public liability issue.
